Office Remodel | Minnetonka, Minnesota | Publication: Featured in MN Enter Magazine, Award Winner at Midwest Home Design Awards
This residence used to be a home before it was cut off from its neighborly surroundings by a new freeway. While similar buildings may have been demolished, this building’s midcentury charm, terrazzo floors, and thin, modular brick made it a unique potential office - although it needed to be remodeled first.
We used a light hand when remodeling so that the existing mid-century personality could shine. Changes included a glass garage door, architectural plants, and pre-patina copper siding. Striking the right balance between a quirky mid-century home and a formal office space was important. The clean lines, multiple workspaces, and library shelving add to the office-like feel.
