CSA Wins Midwest Home Design Award

We were excited to receive the award for “Exterior Use of Color” for our Caliente ADU at the Midwest Home Design Awards.

In the Design Awards magazine, Midwest Home explains the judges’ selection:

“Due to it’s discrete location, the homeowners of the accessory dwelling unit (ADU) were intrigued by the thought of painting it an unexpected shade of red. Carefully selected for its complexity and undertones, Christopher Strom Architects and the client settled on Benjamin Moore’s 2018 Color of the Year, “Caliente.” The bright red hue continues inside, as the homeowners wanted to capture the vibe of a 1970s recreation room. "Bold and simple, but it works perfectly,” a judge says of the selection.”
