AIA MN Homes By Architects: Come see the Side Street Suite

Side Street Suite, an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in Minneapolis, was selected to be part of the 2019 AIA MN Home by Architects Tour. The client, a recent empty-nester, found himself wanting to downsize. The ADU is located in the backyard of his larger home, which now serves as a rental property.

As described in an article by AIA MN, “Privacy and a connection to the outdoors were successfully balanced in the compact space, and the design works to make the home feel larger than it actually is through strategically-placed glass, warm colors, and sliding doors.”
