Two Projects Honored at RAVE Awards

Two of our projects were honored at the RAVE Awards: Mississippi River Residence and Tree Top Escape.

Mississippi River Residence’s custom portholes were recognized in the “Design Detail” category. We riffed on the wet nature of the shower by designing portholes which are placed like bubbles floating upward. The three sizes – papa bear, mama bear, and baby bear – are for the three family members. Due to the portholes’ location above the stairwell below, privacy is maintained. Judges remarked on the playful nature of the design.

Tree Top Escape was recognized in the “Outdoor Living” category. The screen porch has a limited palette of galvanized steel, wood, and aluminum with a custom spiral stair. The judges appreciated that the deceivingly simple design does not distract from the the lush landscape of Minnehaha Creek.

Thank you to Minneapolis St. Paul magazine for hosting the RAVE Awards!
